I finally got a bit of time to go through each of the main Bones cast bios to update the information in them. Then I got very ambitious and made bio pages for the interns and the recurring cast of Bones.
I realize that it’s slightly risky to do all of them, since some my not be in the new season, but we’ve grown to like them all enough that I hope you will enjoy the bios for each of them. Here are all of the new and updated cast bios:
Bones star David Boreanaz, aka FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth, shot a film last year called The Mighty Macs. It’s expected to be released later this year. This time, he’s in a role very different from the ones we are all accustomed to seeing him play. He’ll play the part of a slightly chauvinistic husband of a pioneering women’s basketball coach.
By the looks of the movie’s official trailer, it might be a big hit. We should probably bring tissues with us to the theater, since we may shed a tear or two. Take a look:
Emily Deschanel, aka Dr. Temperance Brennan
This summer, Emily Deschanel has a new project underway. While Bones is on break, Emily will be shooting a movie called Perfect Family. She’ll be in a major role in this film, unlike her small role in last year’s movie My Sister’s Keeper. Here’s a short synopsis of the film:
“A devoutly Catholic wife and mother has been nominated for one of the church’s top awards. She then goes about trying to prove she has the “perfect” family, refusing to accept them for who they are.”
The film also stars Jason Ritter and Kathleen Turner and is expected to release in 2012. You can read what Emily has to say about doing a film during her time off this summer in an interview she did with a number of us yesterday.
TJ Thyne & Tamara Taylor, aka Dr. Jack Hodgins & Dr. Camille Saroyan
TJ Thyne, who plays Hodgins on Bones, has a movie expected out later this year in which he plays a priest. His character for this film is quite different from the fun loving but conspiracy theory touting character he plays on Bones. Here’s a bit of a description for the film:
“‘The Pardon’ is the incredible true story of Toni Jo Henry, a story of love and despair, of hope and redemption, found in the only woman ever to be electrocuted by the State of Louisiana.”
But TJ, who always seems to have multiple projects hatching at once, is also currently working on a film called Shuffle. There is no available information about the film’s plot, but there are rumors that Tamara Taylor, who plays Dr. Cam Saroyan on Bones, is part of the movie’s cast too.
There’s a third movie in the works for TJ too. This film could be a big box-office hit, since it also stars Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Laurence Fishburne. It’s called The Last Full Measure and it may be out late this year. Here’s a summary of its plot:
“An ambitious government bureaucrat is given an unwelcome assignment that could harm his carefully orchestrated career, to complete a long-unfinished report on whether the nation’s highest award for bravery should, after 40 years, be given to a fallen hero. His investigation leads him down a path he could not have imagined and changes his life and the lives of others in the process.”
John Francis Daley, aka Dr. Lance Sweets
And last, but certainly not least is John Francis Daley, who plays Dr. Lance Sweets on Bones. His Bones character is a case of art imitating life, or vice-versa. No, he’s not really a psychologist, but like Sweets, he’s a writer.
John has written six screenplays that are in various stages of development. The film that is the furthest along in the creation process is called Horrible Bosses. It sounds like a fun ride, since this is what it’s about:
“Three friends conspire to murder their awful bosses when they realize they are standing in the way of their happiness.”
The other five screenplays he’s written are named The $40,000 Man, Hours of Fun, Vacation, Cal of the Wild and Burt Wonderstone. Even from these titles, it’s a sure bet that John is great at writing comedies. I can’t wait to see these films because they all sound terrific.
So it looks as if the cast of Bones always manages to stay busy, even when the series is taking a break. With so many very talented cast members, that’s no big surprise.
Yesterday, FOX network held their Upfront presentation where they announced all the new shows coming to FOX and the returning series. We already knew that Bones would be back for season 6, but it’s great to hear it again anyway.
Here are some photos of Emily Deschanel & David Boreanaz at the party afterward. I absolutely LOVE her haircut!! It’s very stylish!!

I am a person that tries to always give people the benefit of the doubt. that’s why in spite of all the rumors for a while now a bout Bones star David Boreanaz cheating on his wife, I refused to write anything about it. I have no interest in doing things to needlessly hurt anyone and I know that Hart Hanson and the cast of Bones are among my readers. But there are some things that have come out this week that I’ll post about simply, then I’ll move on.
One of the women who allegedly had an affair with David while his wife Jaime Bergman was pregnant has been planning to publicly damage David’s reputation. She’s actually one of the same bimbos that Tiger Woods was involved with. Yikes!
David decided to come forward and announce publicly that he was unfaithful to Jaime and that they are working on repairing their marriage. He’s pretty smart to do this, since the woman was threatening to tell Jaime anyway if he didn’t pay her a six-figure dollar amount to stay quiet. Here’s what David had to say publicly:
“Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities,” the actor stated. “I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible.” “I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with,” he says. “She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion.”

I am disappointed to hear about this. I hope they manage to work things out.
On another site, I found these more casual and candid photos of the cast at the Bones 100th episode party. It looks like everyone had a great time!
Here are a few group photos of the cast of Bones, with a couple of the show’s executives thrown in for good measure. There are also a few shots of author and forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs, the inspiration for Bones.
I just ran across these terrific photos of the cast and executives that bring us Bones. They apparently had a huge party the night before the 100th episode of the series aired. Wouldn’t that have been a fun and fabulous place to be that night?
Here are David Boreanaz & Emily Deschanel at the party. They both look very happy to be celebrating such a milestone!
US Weekly held their annual Hot in Hollywood event on Thursday and David Boreanaz and his lovely wife Jaime Bergman were there. Here are some photos of them on the red carpet as they arrived. I can’t get over how tiny she is! Especially after having a baby a few months ago!
David Boreanaz also made a guest appearance this week to promote tonight’s big Bones 100th episode. Here’s a clip of his appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Apparently, Jay’s wife is a big fan of the show too!
David talks about directing the episode and how they had a tough time getting a scene just right in which he cast his father. And did you know that in his early days of acting, he used to say he was Ted Dansen’s son? Then, you need to stay with this until the clip of his first appearance on Married…With Children. The hair! Check out that hair!
Earlier this week, Bones star David Boreanaz took the time to join a number of us on a conference call. We each got to ask only one or two questions, but I’ve put together the entire conversation for you to read. Instead of paraphrasing it, this is exactly what David had to say to our questions:
Q: What was it like to shoot that long-awaited and highly built-up and two kissing scenes in the hundredth episode?
D. Boreanaz: I didn’t necessarily look at it like a hundredth episode. I looked at it as an episode that I was really fortunate to, again, be able to direct like I did last year. To me it’s just the work in taking care of that as best as I possibly could and as creatively as I could. The insight that I had going into it, knowing the storyline and knowing exactly how I wanted to do those two moments, I think that the audience is going to be really pleased. I certainly was for both those moments, and I think we see both those characters grow in a way from the past where they came from, some insight, and also in the future to see what’s going to happen with them next. It was entertaining and a lot of fun and I enjoyed the challenges.
Q: I wanted to ask a question for all the Bones trivia lovers out there. In one of the promotional video clips, you gave us a list of items that Booth carries in his pockets. I was wondering, could you please review the list and give us your explanation why each of those items is significant to Booth?
D. Boreanaz: Sure. I think I’ll keep some as a mystery as well, since a lot of things have not been seen yet. I carry a gold Zippo lighter, which is reminiscent of his training days in the Army as a ranger; he’s got a poker chip to remind him of his gambling issues that we never really tapped into with Booth; some dice in his pocket, in his right pocket, that he likes to fiddle around with if he’s interrogating people, again a reference to his gambling days; a St. Christopher medal that he keeps on him, again, because he’s a religious kind of a guy so he keeps St. Christopher to protect him. And let’s see, what else do I have in my arsenal? I wear a Wittnauer watch on my left wrist. I can’t tell you what’s inscribed because maybe that will come out in an episode one day. And, that’s pretty much it.
Q: I wanted to know, do you think there’s another 100 episodes in the show and in you?
D. Boreanaz: Wow, that’s an interesting question. I think that there are plenty more episodes. It doesn’t matter if it’s – I started this venture with the pilot and didn’t even think about where it was going to go and just take it show-to-show, episode-to-episode. The future’s very bright for the show. I see it as a show that’s really found its legs and can really go to some really unique places. We’re now actually shooting the season finale, so I take it episode-to-episode, show-to-show, and don’t set myself up too much for discouragement if it were to end tomorrow.
Q: I would like to know how it came about that you are directing the 100th episode, which is the flashback. Which order did these things come in? Did you say, “I’d like to direct the flashback,” and they decided, well let’s move that to the 100th episode. Or did they have you directing the 100th episode, or did you say, “I’d like to direct an episode,” and this is how it worked out in the rotation?
D. Boreanaz: It pretty much worked out in rotation, and at the time, we didn’t necessarily know if it was going to be a flashback. I wasn’t privy to know what the episode was going to be about until about six episodes into the start of the season, so luck of the draw, just wanted to be pushed back as far as the episodes and rotations were concerned. I knew the 100th episode was coming up and I graciously talked to Hart about it and it just so happened to be this is the way it happened. I fell in a good spot.
Q: You’ve directed a couple episodes of TV before, so I was wondering, how does the process change with practice? Does it get easier?
