Episode 5.17 The Death of the Queen Bee

Here are some photos from the highly anticipated Bones episode that guest stars Robert Englund, who is best known for playing Freddie Kruger in the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. He’s going to play the high school custodian, and probably will be a very creepy character. We also see that Booth & Brennan will share a romantic dance or two.

Thanks so much to Jenny for the tip (and for the scans!) for this one! These scans are from an article in TV & Satellite Week magazine. It covers shows that air on Sky1, so it’s got to be a European magazine, right? Anyway, the article talks about the upcoming wedding on Bones and questions who it could be. [Be sure to go vote!]

The episodes it describes aired weeks ago in the US, so we already saw Jared & Padme get engaged, but they may not have yet. So the question remains…who will it be?

This is a fascinating interview with Bones creator Hart Hanson.In it, the interviewer asked him if we will find out in the 100th episode that Booth & Brennan have already “done it.” What if, when they first met, they were intimate with each other and it caused problems?

Hart is amazingly vague. How can a person say so little, but with so much emphasis? You’ve gotta love him!

Here’s some cool Bones info from Michael Ausiello. It looks like Booth’s love interest won’t be in the picture very long at all. Whew! That’s good news!

And here’s a tiny tidbit of info about Cam’s new romantic interest. I can’t wait to find out what crazy way the writers will decide to introduce us to him.

Question: What will Booth’s new love interest mean for Booth and Brennan on Bones? —Ellouise

Ausiello: I don’t think there will be any long-term fallout, especially since Rena Sofer is only on board for one episode at this point. But in the short-term, the date will “cause a little turmoil” in their emotional lives, according to exec producer Stephen Nathan, who adds, “It’s nice to confuse Booth and Brennan every now and then. You don’t want the show to become predictable or complacent.” Nathan also points out that “Booth has really neglected his personal life. We wanted to see what it would be like for him to [briefly] explore a potential life with another person… and let him see what it’s like to just be a guy.”

Question: I do not like this whole Booth with a new love interest nonsense! Any hope for Booth/Brennan fans by the end of season 5? —Shorty

Ausiello: Exec producer Stephen Nathan hinted that Booth’s big date with Sofer’s Catherine — which is slated to air in the April 22 episode — will help move B&B “forward towards a bit of a change in their lives.” What does that mean exactly? Grrr. Let me come at this from a different angle: How does the date go? “I guess how the date goes depends on what you think of Booth and Bones and the show Bones. Some people are going to like it, some people are not going to like it.” Let me come at this from a different angle: Nah, I give up.

Question: Need some Bones scoop, please! —Amy

Ausiello: Cam’s getting a new love interest! “We have an episode coming up where Cam meets someone,” reveals Nathan, “and it complicates her relationship with her adopted daughter, Michelle.” Nathan adds that we’ll meet Cam’s suitor in “a very bizarre way.” [Source: EW]

Great news for Cam! The Powers That Be (TPTB) have finally decided to give her a love interest on Bones! I mean, c’mon folks, she’s beautiful, intelligent and funny. Why has she gone so long without a boyfriend? It just doesn’t make sense.

According to EW, the actor who will be wooing Cam is Elon Gold. He’s a nice-looking guy, but I want to know more about his character. I hope he’s worthy of our Cam!

Actor-comedian Elon Gold — best known from Fox’s short-lived Pamela Anderson sitcom Stacked — is joining the cast as a love interest for Cam.

Let’s get a discussion going about Bones relationships. Most Bones fans are in favor of Booth & Brennan getting together, but what do we think of the other relationships on the series?

Hodgela: Of course, this is Angela & Hodgins. They both care about each other and are good together, but for some reason, they don’t seem to be together. I just don’t get that. I’m totally in favor of them getting together again. What do you think?

Wendela: This refers to Wendell & Angela. I think it was an interesting thing for them to have a fling together, but I truly can’t see them being a legitimate couple. Besides, Angela still cares about Hodgins. Or do you disagree?

Jared & Padme: I really think they are cute together. So what if Jared met her and asked her to marry him within a month? And if he’s ok with her past, why should anyone else care? But I understand how big brother Seeley is worried about Jared. I only hope he is over that and will be a supportive brother when they get married.

Sweets & Daisy: For some reason, their relationship seems just a little too cutesy for my taste. They seem to be a good fit, but I get annoyed with all the “Lancelot” talk. Yuck! What do you think? Am I being too critical?

And what about poor Cam? She’s now got a daughter, but surely she doesn’t have to give up her personal life entirely. I hope she does find a relationship in the near future. She deserves one. Don’t you think?

We keep hearing from the Powers That Be at Bones that there’s a wedding in the near future. There are five different scenarios, as far as I can see it. TV Guide says that there are only 4 scenarios. Why don’t we take a look at what TV Guide is theorizing and then see if we can wade through the BS to figure out the truth.

Here comes the bride! Bones will host a big wedding in May. “One of the four women in our cast will be getting married,” says exec producer Hart Hanson, who (with a little prodding) narrowed the candidates down to these couples:

Booth & Brennan “It would take a lot to get there, but it’s conceivable,” says Hanson. Really? When I was on set, I observed a kiss between David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel—but it was a behind-the-scenes smooch on the cheek celebrating their 100th episode. The only way a wedding could happen is if they were undercover in a wedding chapel or, as costar Tamara Taylor (Camille) says, “in another alternate universe.” After fans rebelled over last season’s dream-sex finale, I doubt they’d play us again.

Angela & Hodgins “Angela and Hodgins almost made it down the aisle at the end of the second season. They realized Angela was already married to Berimbau and then broke up,” says Michaela Conlin (Angela). “Although Wendell is turning out to be more than a roll in the hay, Angela is very in love with Hodgins and will eventually end up with him.” I agree and am placing my bets on them! If her character married Wendell, she says, “Fans would probably be upset, and I’d also be a bit bummed.”

Daisy & Sweets “These two are a hot-and-heavy couple,” says Hanson. Maybe, but this newbie intern is hardly May sweeps bride material.

Camille & Mystery Man “Cam will be meeting a love interest this season,” says Hanson. This comes as welcome news to Tamara. “Cam hasn’t had a date in years, so it will be interesting to see how ungraceful she is falling in love,” Tamara says. “But I don’t think I’m the bride.” [Source: TV Guide]

I was sure that the wedding was going to be Booth’s brother Jared & his fiancee Padme. They are the only couple other than Sweets & Daisy that’s actually a couple right now. And they are actually engaged, with Seeley as their Best Man. I just think that Hart is trying to pull a fast one on us and it’s these two.
